Check-in is from 3 pm. If your room is ready earlier, we’ll let you have it at no extra charge.

Check-out is until 12 noon. You can ask for a late check-out at reception; as the hotel is usually full, it depends on that day’s occupancy.

You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your arrival date. For events and special dates the deadline is 7 days. Non-refundable rates cannot be cancelled.

Yes, reception is open 24 hours a day, every day. You can call it from your room by dialling 9.

Yes, left-luggage is free for guests, both before check-in and after check-out.

No, pets are not allowed at Hotel Praktik Vinoteca, except for assistance dogs.

At Carrer de Balmes 51, in Barcelona’s Eixample district, 200 m from Passeig de Gràcia and Casa Batlló. Plaça Universitat is 250 m away and Plaça Catalunya is about a 10-minute walk.

Yes. Our family rooms are two separate bedrooms joined by a shared entrance hall, so you get privacy without being apart.

Yes, cots are free of charge. Ask for one when you book or write to us before you arrive.

No, the hotel does not have extra beds. If more than two adults are travelling together, the family room is the option.

Yes, each room has its own climate control so you can set the temperature. If you need extra pillows or blankets, call reception (9) and we’ll bring them up.

Yes, WiFi is free throughout the hotel. We’ll give you the password at check-in.

The buffet breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:30 am and costs €11.50 per person per day. It includes cold meats, eggs, pastries, bread, yoghurts, cereals, fruit, juices, coffee and tea.

Yes, we organise tastings led by a sommelier from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, booked at least 24 hours in advance. There are several formats, from €25 to €100 per person: DO wines (€30, 4 wines), pairing with Iberian ham, cheese or chocolate (€40), sparkling wines (€40), blind tasting (€35), team Wine Quiz (€25) and Wine School (€100, 4 sessions). No, the hotel does not offer room service.

Yes. If you hand your clothes in at reception before 11 am, they’ll be ready at 8 pm the same day. Ask at reception for prices.

Yes, we lend beach towels free of charge. Just ask at reception.

Yes, we have adapters and chargers at reception. For anything more specific, we recommend El Corte Inglés on Plaça Catalunya.

The easiest option is the Aerobús to the Plaça Universitat stop, 250 m from the hotel. You can also take the R2 Nord train from T2 to Passeig de Gràcia, 200 m away. By taxi, the journey takes about 25–30 minutes depending on traffic.

The hotel has no car park of its own, but we have an agreement with Parking Diputació (Carrer de la Diputació 239–247): €24 for 24 hours. Reception can tell you how to book and pay.

Passeig de Gràcia (lines L2, L3 and L4) is 200 m away and Universitat (L1 and L2) is 250 m away. For several journeys, the 10-trip T-casual card works out cheaper than single tickets, but it can’t be used to get to the airport.

Lines V15 (to Barceloneta), 7 (towards Diagonal Mar), 63 and 67 (Plaça Catalunya) stop right outside the hotel.

Yes. Passeig de Gràcia station, next to Casa Batlló, is served by Rodalies commuter trains (R2, R2N, R2S, R11, R14, R15, R16, R17) and regional trains. 350 m away are the Ferrocarrils (FGC) stations at Plaça Catalunya and Provença, with trains to Sant Cugat, the Autonomous University at Bellaterra and Terrassa.

Take the H12 bus on Gran Via, between Rambla de Catalunya and Balmes, about 200 m from the hotel. For Fira Montjuïc, get off at Plaça Espanya; for Fira Gran Via, at the Plaça Europa stop.

200 m away, on Passeig de Gràcia, level with the hotel: about a 3-minute walk.

By metro: L2 from Universitat or Passeig de Gràcia to the Sagrada Família stop. By bus: H10 from Carrer de València.

Bus 24 leaves from opposite Casa Batlló, 200 m from the hotel, and drops you at the park entrance.

The V15 bus stops outside the hotel and drops you opposite the beach. We lend beach towels free of charge.

Take the V15 to the Via Laietana–Salvador i Pirozzi stop and walk about 200 m.

Take the L3 from Passeig de Gràcia to Les Corts and walk along Travessera de les Corts. On match days, leave the hotel 1 to 1½ hours beforehand.

Take the L1 from Universitat to Espanya and go up the Montjuïc escalators next to the fountains. It gets very busy after concerts, so allow extra time to get back.

We recommend the Barcelona Bus Turístic, the official one. The nearest stop is Casa Batlló–Tàpies (Passeig de Gràcia 38–40). If you only have a few days, the 48-hour ticket lets you see the highlights without rushing. You can buy it at reception.

Take the L1 from Universitat to Espanya (3 stops) and change to the FGC, line R5 towards Manresa (approx. 1 hour). Get off at Aeri de Montserrat for the cable car, or at Monistrol de Montserrat for the rack railway (about 20 minutes). You can also book an organised tour at reception.

The R2 Sud train leaves from Passeig de Gràcia, 200 m from the hotel, and takes you to Sitges with no changes.

There are two options: the R11 train from Passeig de Gràcia (1 h 20, roughly every 30 minutes) or the AVE high-speed train from Sants (about 40 minutes, more expensive).

Yes. The most accessible is Freixenet, in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, with the train station right next to the winery: R4 train from Plaça Catalunya. It offers tours with tastings, and Renfe sells a combined train + visit ticket.

For tapas: Vinitus (Consell de Cent 333), Cervecería Catalana and La Flauta, which don’t take bookings. Catalan cuisine: Telefèric (Pl. Letamendi 27). Basque: Taktika Berri (València 169). Lebanese with vegetarian options: Al Jaima de Abou Khalil (València 218).

Near the hotel: Vigo (Aribau 27) and Ca l’Nuri (Consell de Cent 377). By the sea in Barceloneta: Can Ros, Agua and 7 Portes.

Lasarte (Mallorca 259) and Oria (Passeig de Gràcia 75) are just a few minutes from the hotel. Book well in advance.

We recommend Tablao Cordobés, at La Rambla 35: show from €38 and dinner with show from €72 per person.

Wine: we have our own wine list and, for something specific, Colmado Quílez (Aragó 241), 50 m away. Supermarket: Bonpreu (Pl. Letamendi 36). SIM and eSIM: Orange shop at Rambla de Catalunya 72. Cash machines: Santander, Sabadell and CaixaBank on Rambla de Catalunya, about 150 m away. Official FC Barcelona store: Passeig de Gràcia 15. And for everything else, El Corte Inglés on Plaça Catalunya.

Yes. Basic-Fit (Gran Via 593) sells day passes. If you’re looking for a pool and sauna, We/On (Balmes 44) offers a weekly pass.
